Brookes First Post

Hi everyone! I know I may not have all of the proper doctor terms but I will try to blog everyday and keep everyone updated with the road to recovery of my dad! Today was a good day for my dad. The MRI (if im correct) showed that my dads heart is in amazing shape and nothing wrong with him there. The stroke effected my dad on the left side of his brain which has effected the right side of his body! He still is not speaking nor moving much of his right side, but he can lift his right leg for 5 seconds! (hes so strong) Today he raised his head in bed and wanted a kiss from my mom! So sweet! Tomorrow he has his "swallow" test , if he can swallow on his own he can be taken off the feeding tube which will be a huge step! Send lots of prayers! Ill update everyone tomorrow evening!

    THE BYRNE'S LOVE YOU JOHN!! You are such a strong man and a fighter...we KNOW you can do it! We can't wait to see you walking your "horse" down the street again, digging up all your dead grass, and trying to run us over in your flashy sportscar! We can't wait to share some laughs very soon!

    To all out there who don't know: Brooke has taken on the responsibility of running the household and taking care of her little sister, Maggie, while Deanna stays with John at the hospital. She's also a college student. She, too, will need much support and prayers during this time. Love you Brooke and am so proud of you :)

    This is wonderful news!!! John, Deanna and children off to a good start... Keep the fight..faith..strength and you have the support and love...John you are a fighter...We ask the question over and over Why/How this happened to you but we all know that God has a plan.. let's just follow it and GET WELL SOON...It is not going to happen overnight but glad to hear you are on your way to recovery!!!
