Good morning! I apologize for not blogging lately! I've been extra busy and was also sick! We're back on track! Dad is now using the bathroom on his own, well with the help of a nurse! This is a huge step! He's done very well! He's also eating a lot more and verbally making more noises! His speech therapy gets better everyday. Make sure to wish mom a belated birthday, her birthday was dec 6th. The doctor is saying maybe 5 or 6 weeks until dad will be able to come home. We just want to make sure he's as independent as possible! He's so amazing and so strong, I truly look up to him! He's a great man! Thank you everyone who is praying. Prayer is working. Also thank you everyone whom is sending us food it's a huge help! We love y'all :).

  6. Please tell your Dad that Brennan Hayden says hello, and that he is in our Advent prayers every single night. I will be in Louisville on December 26th and 27th. What is the best way to check on a good time for a visit?

  12. What a wonderful daughter you two are blessed with in Brooke! John David and I wish to say hello and want you to know that our family too has been keeping you all in our prayers. Brooke, I have always loved and admired your mother for her spirit, smile, and laugh...(ok, a little jealous of her good looks too, but that is between us right?). I still hold a grudge against your dad for taking her away from us here in the Big Owensboro, but truth be told, I never doubted for a second that their union was prescribed by heaven itself. John, take care to keep up the hard work so that you may return to your own comfortable home soon. That family of yours gives you great reason to do so. Merry Christmas!...in a couple of weeks that is...It will truly be a Merry Christmas no matter where you are.
    Michelle, John David and family
